I'm Efi Kavoura, and my relationship with the markets began long before cryptocurrencies appeared. I studied Economics, I hold a Master's in Web3 and Blockchain, and I started my career at the Athens Stock Exchange in 1999. For more than 15 years I worked in trading and financial markets, so when I came across cryptocurrencies I didn't see them simply as a new technology. I saw them as the next stage of a world I already knew very well.
In recent years I have been active in Web3 through community building, marketing, education and market development. I have worked with some of the biggest names in crypto, among them Binance, Bitget and Kraken, in different roles around growth, communities and market development. Alongside that, I have organised and supported many initiatives that brought cryptocurrencies closer to the Greek public.
One of the things I love most is taking something that looks complicated to most people and making it understandable. From cryptocurrencies and DeFi to wallets, payments, blockchain and AI, I believe real adoption starts when we stop talking only among ourselves and start explaining why all this technology matters in real life.
Today I am Co-Founder and CEO of CAIS, where we are building an AI operating system around a single Brand Brain, to help businesses coordinate people and AI from strategy through to execution. I am also Lead of the Crypto Unit at Estia Group, focusing on strategy, positioning and the growth of the group's crypto ecosystem.
If I had to describe my path in one sentence, I'd say I like being where something new starts to become real. From the stock exchange to crypto, and from crypto to AI, I've always been more interested in what we can build next than in what happened yesterday.
And something not many people know about me: behind quite a few posts, calls and decisions there is usually a black-and-white cat who believes he is the real CEO. Goup simply has a different view of the org chart.
